Abstract:

Radio millisecond pulsars are widely believed to be produced through a recycling process. In the recycling scenario, neutron stars in binary systems can be spun up to rotational periods of millisecond seconds through accretion. This predicts that these systems can transform from (to) low-mass X-ray binaries (LMXBs) to (from) radio pulsars. In this talk, I will briefly introduce PSR J1023+0038, which is the first and one of the three transitional millisecond pulsars that have shown the state changes aforementioned, and present some of the latest results from our group regarding the multi-wavelength observations of the pulsar system.
