Abstract:
The resent observation of JWST confirms, or even worsen the Hubble tension. The tension is in sharp conflict with the fundamental assumptions that the universe is uniform and isotropic. We have proposed that the origin of the Hubble tension is the inhomogeneity of the Universe. Recent observation of BAO(Baryon acoustic oscillation) by DESI did not solve the tension but provided more information of the Hubble parameter. In this talk, we start with a basic explanation of Hubble tension and BAO, and then interpret the results of DESI from our perspective to present a new picture of the universe.
