Abstract:
Stellar flare activity plays an important role in the habitability of planets. Previous studies proposed that the star-planet interaction is the cause of the flare activity on the exoplanet host stars. However, in the previous studies didn’t find exoplanet transiting features in the solar type flare stars’ lightcurves in Kepler observation. We
collected the light curve data from Kepler telescope and spectral data from LAMOST and other ground-based telescopes for detecting flare activities in late-type stars and eclipsing binaries (EB) systems. In this talk, I will compare the active level and flare timing among single stars, EB systems and exoplanet host stars.
