Title: To B[e] or Not To B[e]: From the Isolated B[e] Stars to the Be Star Phenomenon

Abstract:
HD 45677 and HD 50138 are two well-known B[e] stars with the in situ dust in their disk. Our measurements of the intrinsic polarization reveal a decreasing level of polarization with wavelength and a wavelength-independent feature in the polarization angle. Moreover, we also reanalyze the polarimetric data from the literature. Combining the data from all the available epochs led us to conclude that a general electron scattering-dominated disk exists in both B[e] stars, with evidence of micron-sized grains seen at some epochs, likely condensed in the inner disk. In addition to studying the individual B[e] stars, most of the early-type emission-line stars are also photometric variables. Therefore, we are moving forward to the photometric survey. With Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF) large field of view (47 square degree), the northern sky can be surveyed with high cadence on Galactic Plane. ZTF makes possible the systematic census for first time the photometric variability of faint Be stars. An unusual light curve of one Be stars, HO Puppis, with several remarkable fading events up to ~2.5 magnitudes was found in the available data.
