Abstract:
Recent integral field unit (IFU) surveys, such as SAMI, CALIFA, MaNGA, and PHANGS, have transformed our understanding of gas-phase metallicity in galaxies. These surveys provide spatially resolved measurements that reveal the complex interplay between star formation, feedback, chemical enrichment, galaxy dynamics, and overall evolution. In this talk, I will present key findings from IFU-based studies, including how these observations trace the chemical evolution of galaxies across diverse environments and evolutionary stages. I will also explore the broader implications for our understanding of star formation and galaxy evolution.
