Abstract:
Our planet is 1.2°C hotter than it was before the Industrial Revolution. It’s now unequivocal that human activity is the cause of the warming, and the changing climate is having a profound impact on many aspects of our lives. In this talk, I will give an overview of climate change risks (physical and transition) and climate action (adaptation and mitigation). We will discuss how net zero transition affects every single one of us. I will also share my journey from an astrophysicist to the climate change and energy officer.
