Abstract:
Exomoons are poised to become the next frontier in exoplanetary science. If the Solar System is any guide, these worlds will be geologically active and diverse, potentially hosting the key ingredients and conditions for the emergence of life. Moreover, they stand to provide critical dynamical insights into the formation and evolution of planetary systems. In this talk, I will detail some of our recent efforts at finding the signatures of exomoons in time-domain photometry and outline some exciting prospects for future
detection and characterization.
