Abstract:
Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs) are the highest intensity coherent radiation discovered to date, which opens the window to new measurements and discoveries. I will describe some of the applications, including wave optics gravitational and plasma lensing which can directly measure extragalactic stars and planets, and potentially cosmic acceleration. I discuss some of the challenges of the emission mechanism, and conclude with current survey status and future prospects, including the new Taiwan BRST initiative.
